Safety is our #1 priority. We brief our clients on ice safety before every trip. We perform routine daily checks of ice conditions and monitor weather forecasts. Simply put, we do not take risks. If weather or ice conditions are not 100% safe, we will not head out. We also provide each client with a set of premium boot cleats to prevent any slips or falls on the ice.
Trip timing is very flexible — just let us know your preferred schedule ahead of time and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.
Most trips run within the 9:00 AM–4:00 PM window, but depending on the day:
• You can start at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:00 AM
• You may leave early around 3:00 PM if needed
• The latest return time is 4:00 PM
On days with multiple groups, arrival times may be staggered. All shuttle rides are private, and groups are never combined. I’ll move between groups throughout the day to provide assistance, check on bites, help with fish, and make adjustments as needed — while still giving each group plenty of space.
Please dress for winter conditions. Although the shelters are very warm and cozy, it may take some time to set up these shelters. Please dress in layers, remember to bring gloves/mittens, wear wool socks, hats, and your boots. We also recommend that you bring sunglasses.
Lastly, please bring your valid Ontario fishing license. It is required by law and allows you to fish public waters within Ontario. You can purchase a fishing license from certain outdoors stores or online here: https://www.huntandfishontario.com
(Children under the age of 18 and adults over the age of 65 do not require a fishing license but do require some form of identification.)
